It’s in a neighborhood that I couldn’t feel comfortable going out in, but it is a changing area. I just didn’t get as warm a feeling from the relationship between the staff and the residents as in other places. A safe and secure Christian community where caring and compassion are a... I brought my mother to Golden Living Center Brookview for therapy services after she had surgery on her back. She was given a private and spacious room with a TV, telephone and private bathroom.

Their physical therapy staff was a 5, though. Outside, somebody hit the canopy, and there were building materials there for the whole time we were there. It was on the ground there for at least three weeks. Insurance covered it, but I think it was too high after the insurance ran out. It wasn’t worth staying there and paying that kind of money.
Living Facilities details
Briarwood is actually the facility I would choose. The administration lady was very helpful. That facility is what I actually chose just for respite care for my mother.

Everybody was helpful in taking care, keeping her up with medicines, following doctor’s orders, and doing her rehab work. There were plenty of things there to do, but she just didn’t feel like doing it. Time spent outdoors is important to our wellbeing. It was an older property, but it was well-maintained, and they had an outdoor area where the residents can get some sunshine, but it’s very small. Overall, the aesthetics of it is very nice. It’s almost in an industrial area or retail setting, so it’s not in an open area whatsoever, and that was kind of a turn off too. The guy who’s in charge of the place toured us around. He’s only been there a year, but prior to him was when they had the problem with someone walking away from the property.

If you don't drive, they have buses that would take you shopping. That's especially nice for people because they are able to go to church and shopping. Rosegate offers the very best in senior retirement living and healthcare. When someone chooses to live in one of our communities, we become an extension of their family. The Marquette was near St. Vincent’s Hospital on the northwest side of town. It’s probably the most expensive place and had more of a country club atmosphere. You have to wear a dinner jacket to come to dinner if you’re a man. While they allowed pets, it didn’t seem like it was something they were thrilled about, and my cat and dog are important to me. In all of the levels of care that I looked at there, they took good care of their residents, but it was the most expensive choice.
Incontinent residents must be able to manage incontinence themselves.
